Make your energy visible, in 2.5D
Energy is hard to change when you can't see it. Helios changes that: a real-time view of what your home produces, stores and consumes, flowing across the sun's daily arc, straight from your Home Assistant Energy dashboard. See it, understand it, and act, with or without solar panels.

Curious about your own place?
Your energy data never leaves home.
Helios is fully open source and runs entirely in your browser. There is no Helios server, no account and no telemetry: your solar, battery and grid figures stay inside your own Home Assistant, read straight from the Energy dashboard you already trust.

Everything on screen comes from free, keyless services: CARTO for the basemap, Open-Meteo for the weather, and OpenStreetMap for the buildings.
Add it once. Make it yours.
Helios reads your existing Home Assistant Energy dashboard as its single source of truth, so there is nothing to wire up. Drop it on a dashboard and it works instantly; when you want more, a visual editor puts every detail within reach.
type: custom:helios-card That's the whole config. Everything else is optional. Plug-and-play
No per-card entity setup. Helios picks up your solar, grid and battery sources straight from the Home Assistant Energy dashboard you already configured.
Yours by default
It follows your Home Assistant theme, light or dark, and centers on your home location out of the box, so it looks right the moment it loads.
Tunable to the detail
A visual editor puts everything within reach: buildings, shadows, camera, colors, data precision, and the metric shown on each dial.
Built to run on the hardware you already own.
The greenest device is the one you never replace. After hundreds of hours tuning the rendering, Helios runs on a custom 2.5D engine, no WebGL, no heavy framework, light enough to stay fluid on years-old phones and tablets. Less compute, less e-waste, the same rich scene.
I still believe we can turn this around.
I'm Jérôme, 44, the developer behind Helios. For years I've worked across the whole stack, backend, frontend, 3D, games, embedded, and at some point I wanted to finally build something that actually matters to me.
I believe we can still save this planet, but not through guilt or numbers nobody reads. People change when they can see what's happening. That's the whole point of Helios: make your energy visible, tangible, even beautiful, so acting on it feels natural rather than forced.
Helios is free and open source, built by one person in the open. A star on GitHub helps others discover it, and a coffee keeps the project alive and keeps me building.
